Excuse me, but the New York Times and the Supreme Court belong to the same club Wikileaks is aiming at because they are cheating the whole world straight faced.

If you trust the New York Times, the Supreme Court and all those biased institutions, who don’t understand enough of the world to grasp the role Wikileaks is playing at this point in time.

the silliness of not having Spotlight be part of the software for the iPad 2 will, by and by, be remedied.

they are human…and there are probably economic reasons lurking that are behind the really stupid inconsistencies.

I live near the everglades and this reminds me of certain areas therein. A particular type of tree removes water from the surrounding area and permits developers to have access to land that is left behind. It is good for man but we better be careful that we don't take too much or alter our natural surroundings since we don't fully appreciate the possible side effects. It is good to see however that nature can keep things going in such a harsh environment. e=mc2 or e=mc2 definition

I just love when the you have a wonderful snow storm that has some freezing rain mixed in. It makes the trees seem like something ethereal or otherworldly. When I lived in NY there were icicles at least 3 feet long that lasted the whole winter season and snow in upstate NY that had drifts of 4-5 feet. It was an amazing and beautiful world that can only be fully appreciated when experienced. [Homepage]

Its sugaring season in Maine, N.H, Vermont…. as you probably know the trees hedge their bets: sap goes down to roots on freezing night then up to feed the buds during warm days and sugar folk try to catch it in transit.

I live in bug bafflers from mid-May—> early August… drastic change in attitude for the better. I bet moose wish they had them!

You’re absolutely right that the First Amendment contains no caveats. But however lofty the ideal rules of a society may be, they eventually have to be put into practice — and reality is a messy place.

That might sound like a cop-out, and in some ways, maybe it is. But it’s better to have an ongoing process of interpretation than beautiful, idealistic rules that are meaningless in practice.

Poor Little Audrey, her story is amazing. I’m so grateful to be in the possession of the oil from the weeping statues in Audrey’s home. I’m asking Little Audrey for a special request for Little Ian Cusack only 6, he was hit by a car last Sept. He is very sick in Cork University Hospital, Ireland. He has had 17 operations in his little life but has now been struck down by meningitis and has been given 3 – 7 days to live. I’m asking for Little Audrey’s intercession for this little pet. Please Little Audrey lay your healings hands upon Ian. Thank you xxxxx

I also flew in from New York and shared the days with fellow New Yorkers getting out the vote and interacting with the people in East Cleveland.

As a non-American, canvassing was the only way I could affect the outcome of the country I live in. I dont think we met personally, but I am happy we made history together!

I’m a PR person and I dislike shmoozing (otherwise known as ‘networking’) even though it’s an unspoken part of my job. When I’m required to go to an event with a client, it always feels like putting on an ill-fitting sweater. Sometimes it all feels so contrived, that I’m embarrassed to even show up.

That being said, there are writers I truly admire that show up at some of these events and I want to fangirl to my heart’s content. The one time I did do this though, a journalist took one look at my badge and walked away, muttering something about “PR people.” I was heartbroken. At the end of the day, PR person or not, I’m just a reader.

Anyway, my point is. Me too. Crossing the lines between professional and personal makes me uncomfortable.

This is why creatives have agents. And I suppose good agents are people who are genuinely interested in almost anything, so they don’t appear disingenuous when networking.

On the other hand, I had exactly this experience at some kind of TechCrunch meetup — spent 20 minutes talking to a PR person, all the while wanting to poke my eyes out.
